🌅 !daytime — DISCONTINUED

After a lot of testing, we're retiring the !daytime command for now.
What happened?
The voting system, cooldowns, player checks, and Dilo nighttime protection all worked.
The problem is Evrima itself.

!daytime would successfully change the time after an Admin manually used the Environment controls
— but following a server restart, the same command would stop changing the environment.
We tried several different ways of reproducing what Evrima's Admin Panel does behind the scenes, but there isn't currently a reliable way to do it automatically.

🔒 Why not just give the command Admin?
Because we're not giving players Admin permissions — even temporarily.
Server security and reliable moderation are more important than keeping one convenience command.
So, for now:
🌙 !daytime has been removed.
🦖 Nighttime remains part of normal gameplay.
🔧 We'll revisit it if Evrima gives us a reliable way to control server time in the future.
We tried. We argued with it. We poked it with Lua. We stared into the depths of Evrima's code...
Evrima won this round. 😂

TacoCoin prices are calculated and verified securely by the server.

🧬 Marketplace Fix

Fixed an issue where some legitimate mutations could prevent a Marketplace purchase.
Mutation names are now handled properly even when EVRIMA uses slightly different capitalization.

🌿 Gallimimus Feed Fix (After Shad0w Confirms)

Gallimimus can now properly use the FEED button from Live Dino.
The normal Feed requirements and cooldown still apply.

If a hunt goes cold... the predator may disappear.

🦕 WILD HERDS
Triceratops and Stegosaurus can now appear naturally in small herds.

They're peaceful.

Usually.

Attack one member of the herd and you may quickly learn that you didn't attack one dinosaur.

You attacked all of them.

☠️ HARD MODE
Encounters are now paced across the server instead of constantly spawning around players.

Wildlife comes and goes naturally, keeping the island from becoming overcrowded.

You may go a while without seeing anything.

That's intentional.

Because when the bushes start moving...

you should probably pay attention.

A new !daytime command has been added!

Players can now request the server be changed to 10:00 AM without needing an Admin.

### ☀️ HOW IT WORKS

Type !daytime

If you're the only player online, the vote is skipped and the server changes directly to 10:00 AM.

With 2+ players online, a 30-second vote should begin:

1 = YES
2 = NO

One vote per player. At least 50% of players online must vote YES.

Pass:
DAY VOTE PASSED — Setting 10:00 AM.

Fail:
DAY VOTE FAILED — Not enough YES votes.

### 🌙 DILO PROTECTION

If a Dilophosaurus is online, !daytime should be blocked:

DAYTIME UNAVAILABLE — Dilophosaurus online.

The server should also watch for Dilos during a vote. If one joins/spawns, the vote should immediately cancel:

DAY VOTE CANCELLED — Dilophosaurus online.

This prevents daytime from being forced while someone is playing a night-focused dinosaur.

!daytime has a 2-minute cooldown to prevent spam.

Herbivore players can now use the Feed button on the website whenever their dinosaur's hunger drops below 30%.

Using Feed will now:

🍖 Restore Hunger to 100%
🌿 Give 35% Diet A

🌿 Give 35% Diet Y
⏱️ Start a 10-minute feeding cooldown

Even better — this works at ANY growth stage!

No more losing access to website feeding once your dinosaur reaches 60% growth. Juveniles, sub-adults, and full adults can all use it as long as their hunger is below 30%.

🌱 ALREADY HAVE DIET?

Feed will never lower your existing diet.

If one of your diet nutrients is already above 35%, it stays there. Feed simply brings any missing/low nutrients up to at least 35%.

🌀 Player-to-Player Teleporting

Added !tp <name> for player teleport requests.
Added !tpaccept and !tpdeny.
Partial-name matching added — no need to type complicated symbols or clan tags.
Example: !tp melon can find TΛÇĐ|MercilessMelon.
Added private on-screen notifications for TP requests and status.
Added a 10-second teleport warmup after acceptance.
Players must remain still during the countdown.
Taking damage during the countdown cancels the teleport.
Teleports place the requesting player safely beside the accepting player.
Improved landing position to prevent fall damage.
Added safeguards for failed/cancelled teleport attempts.

⏸️ Persistent Growth Control

Added !pause to freeze your dinosaur's growth at its exact current percentage.
Added !unpause to resume normal growth.
Paused growth now persists through disconnects.
Paused growth also survives full server restarts.
Growth locks are species-aware to prevent a saved growth percentage being incorrectly applied to another species.

🦖 Expanded Groups

Increased pack/group limits to 255 players.
Works on species with normally restrictive group sizes, including Rex and Deinosuchus.
TacoPrime automatically reapplies the expanded group limit when necessary.
Large groups have now been tested and confirmed working in-game.

Added proper support for player names containing unusual/special characters.
Improved partial player-name identification.
